With the Magnet Upgrader MU-1 it is possible to produce a very acurate separation of the seeds on the basis of the surface structure of the seed.

Theory of operation:

An amount of iron powder is mixed with the seeds and the bunker of the machine is filled with this mixture .
Seeds with a damaged or porous surface will absorb the iron powder.
Next the seeds are transported with the conveyor belt to the magnetic turning roll, which will attract the seeds with the absorbed iron powder. These seeds will fall at the backside of the turning roll into a reservoir.

In this manner, the lot is disposed of seeds without any, or hardly any germinal force, hence the lot of seed remaining is of a higher quality.
